The Twitterverse got on fire today when it was announced that Lady GaGa and Kanye West will no longer be having their Fame Kills Tour.
Enter Adam Lambert. Adam, who’s new album is set to be released on November 24 and is already breaking pre-sale records is rumored to be the opening act for GaGa on a new tour which has not been structured yet.

I know music tastes differ but someone needs to tell Adam to stop fanboying over Gaga if he wants to be taken seriously. So many people hate her. Her style grew old so fast. She tries so hard to be “shocking” and “unpredictable” that it became annoying, lame and predictable. That’s not inspiring nor art. From all the amazing musicians, epic bands, badass divas, vocalists he could wish to perform with, he chooses Gaga. He’ll lose half his fanbase if he models himself on her.

People are delusional if they think Adam can do a full tour by himself. His pre-order sales are good, but the public hasn’t heard a single note of music yet. What if he doesn’t match up to the hype? Touring with someone established first is a smart move.

When he was in the Zodiac Show, PCD’s Carmit’s words were “Adam stole the show every damn night” and he was the one who had “all these huge crazy ideas”. He gets what he wants because he has guts, is determined, is not in the least bit a pushover, is a workaholic and hardworking and respectful. He has a clear mindset and knows how to take control, and people respect him in return.
Anyway, if I were him I would jumpt at the chance to open for Pink or Madonna. And even though I don’t hate Gaga like some people do, I just wouldn’t open for her if I were him.
I think he could do a full tour by himself eventually, but I am skeptical at it being right now. Of course he was popular on American Idol, but outside of diehard Adam fans, who knows how well he’s going to be received once he puts out some music. We won’t know until we hear his single and album. Adam can be successful with his AI fanbase alone, but to headline a national arena tour is probably out of reach at this point. Didn’t Pink JUST headline her first national arena tour, and she’s been on the scene for at least a decade. Perhaps if he becomes a huge hit within the next few months, maybe he can be a co-headliner, but I doubt it.
He’s stated Lady Gaga is his role model. Why wouldn’t he jump at the chance to open for her?
Btw, the American Idol tour was only 52 cities, and he “headlined” it by doing cover songs.
PS. It is humanly impossible for anyone to meet the hyperbole. It’s actually really silly and unfair the way they’ve hyped him up without having heard one single second from his album. I realllllly hope it doesn’t backfire on him.

Hey, if you’re just trying to up your click count for the month by mentioning Adam Lambert, good job, it might work. But if there’s no basis for the rumor other than a few unsubstantiated tweets from people who think it “might be cool” then it’s a dick move to perpetuate the gossip.
FYI, Adam fans have been jerked around something fierce this last week with rumors via twitter, and most of us are getting a bit cynical about how many people drop the guy’s name just to get more followers or blog hits or whatever. So don’t expect the unbridled enthusiasm you got the last round of (really cool, by the way) Adam concert posts you did. I can’t speak for anyone else, but between single debut dates that turn out to be false, the rumor that part of his soundtrack song will be aired on tonight’s 2012 roadblock commercial that it now sounding like it’s not gonna happen, and countless songwriter/producer tweets that say nice stuff but give ZERO freakin details — well, I’m about outta patience with the rumor mill.

Oh and for the record, I’m another Adam fan who loves Lady Gaga. “Just Dance” and “Beautiful Dirty Rich” are some kickass, danceable tunes, in fact her whole album is one big dance party. I think he’d be hella lucky to land a spot as her opener. And they’d be a great concert match, both musically and performance-wise.
Don’t kid yourselves guys, we may love him, but the world outside the Idol bubble only has the vaguest idea who Adam is. You may not like her, but the millions of folks who’ve bought her music do. Why should he open for anyone? He’s just done a 72 city tour FFS. Even though Kris headlined, the reception Adam got every night was MENTAL, like embarassingly moreso than all the other guys, and his performances were fkn BADASS.
And when Kris couldn’t perform because he was ill (first time EVER an Idol winner has pulled out of their own show), Adam closed the show, the audience got over Kris not being there fast. Had Adam pulled out, there would have been insane disappointed boos and the whole concert would’ve felt like a wierd, empty anti-climax. People would be asking for their money back.
Anyway, my point was, give him a chance to do his own thing first, ugh. Let him put out an album before making him open for Gaga, as much as he appreciates her.

The only time he’d be considered a pretty boy was in his audition when he dressed down to ease the judges and audiences and it worked because they put him through. He changes his look every day, he’s a fkn chameleon, it’s one of the reasons he remains refreshing and fascinating. Tim Burton was the one who said he loved his “androgynous appeal”. He’s constantly experimenting musically and visually.

Oh HELL YEAH! Been waiting to hear this! I am very impressed with GaGa and I LOVE Adam Lambert. Saw him in the Idols concert and he was totally awesome! He is a fine vocalist and smoking hot! I think it would be a great concert. I definitely would be there! And I would shell out the big bucks for a good seat, too! Can’t wait until Lambert’s CD drops.
I hope it’s not true. I would not go. I’ll wait for Adam to tour alone or WITH (ont opening for) someone like Queen. Adam has the opportunity to be a superstar. Adam loves Lady GaGa, her performances and her artistry. It is sad to see Adam’s “fans” bashing her. I am pretty sure he would count it as a privilege, since she is a multi-platinum artist that he admires.
