Dad came to visit me for a few days and we’ve had a great time. Three of the things we have done the most on his time here are eating, watching movies and talking. My Dad is a really knowledgeable person and his experiences have provided him with a lot of wisdom. It’s great when we have this opportunities to talk about situations that matter in this case my future, in the professional and relational aspect. I’ve been telling him how I’ve been feeling ready to meet someone and get married and through that establish my family. Yesterday on the way from Church we started talking about the service and on this specific service there was a video of a man who had lost his son and with this he had lost joy in his life. He was without joy for several years until one day while driving his car he cried out to God and asked him for joy, at that moment right there his joy was restored. God answered swiftly to his prayer. While we talked about this, Dad tells me, you know that in the same way that God restored that man’s joy he can answer if you ask him to guide you to the right person, he cares about that. I was so blessed by this for the fact that my Dad was giving me biblical guidance, he may not know it but he was talking about deeper things than just a simple advice. My Dad has always been a spiritual person and I know that God is doing something in his life, he just asked me to get him a book where he could learn from the teachings of Jesus. I got home Life and Teachings of Christ by Gordon Lindsay which is a great book. I will start remembering that if I ask I will receive. I ask God today that my Dad will know Him in a deeper more intimate manner and also that God will guide me to the person with whom I will spend the rest of my days.
