If you have been following my blog, I have been writing very often about a need for change. I’ve been pretty desperate for a while now, longing for a change, something new and exciting. Something that I’ve been learning for a while now is to think things through before making a major decision, look for guidance and simply wait.
Most of the time when I want something I just gotta have it and do whatever is needed to get it as soon as possible. During that time between wanting and actually getting something I sometimes make the mistake of telling people what I’m getting. Which as a kid was a bit of a problem because I did not control my Dad’s wallet so he could easily make the decision of not gettin me what I was wanting, usually because I didn’t deserve it. ’Merezcalo’ he would say time and time again in his strong english accent. In many ocassions at the end I was empty handed and a bit embarassed because I had told others what I was getting and didn’t get. That is something that through time I’ve learned, and actually it’s a bit exciting to keep things to yourself until you have that thing you wanted in your hand. That’s something I’ve also learned with my roommate, he is very reserved in his things, he will not tell others about something until that thing totally belongs to him. I know there are times that it’s good to confess by faith that we will have something but most of the time it will end up showing us as fools that did not calculate the path to receive what we desired.
So, all that to say this, I am deciding to wait, to think things through, I asked my boss for a vacation and he approved it today. I will be taking some time to gather my thoughts, refocus, rest for a while and be strengthened. Where am I going for my vacation? Well, I have a plan but I will not say until I have bought the ticket, just for the sake of not being a fool… again. Ha.
I believe that there are things that are more important and my friend Maranda hit the spot on her blog by writing a post about ‘Divine Discontentment’, click here to see it.

Rand, thanks for the link. I'm so glad that my blog spoke to you. I'm very excited to hear where your vacation will be. I'm sure it's just what the doctor ordered.
