One of the main reasons of going away for a month to New Zealand was to look for direction. I put the things that I wish for on the table and looked thoroughly at them trying to figure out what would be the best way to achieve them. During this time I realized that my current Bachelor’s degree really is not a great asset in order to get there, neither is most of my current work experience. So I decided to take some risks and do something a bit drastic.
I’m going back to school. To study something specific to what I want to achieve. Isn’t that a novel idea?
If you have been following my blog, you know that one of my dreams is to some day win an Acadamy Award, an Oscar. Not only that, I want to be involved in the entertainment arena, I want to work in Television, Films and written media. For years, I’ve been reading daily about all this and it has fueled my desires of getting into the entertainment industry. I know that it is a difficult one, I know that millions of people may have the same dream of getting an Oscar or working on movies, but I will work my hardest to follow that dream. I prefer to go for it, even if it’s difficult and I don’t succeed as expected but I don’t want to be 60 years old and look back and think:”Oh man, I missed out, I should’ve tried it”. I much rather be that age and say: “At least I tried and see all that happened”.
Having said that I am looking forward to success. I am looking forward to doors being opened, it will be hard, it will be a rocky road but I believe I will be blessed through it and in it. So, next Monday February 1st I start my Entertainment Business Master of Science in Full Sail University.
I am preparing myself for new challenges, for going out of my comfort zone, for using my mind much more than I’ve been using it at the moment and for soaking it all in. If you pray, I would appreciate your prayers in this new area of my life.
Way to go! Best to do this while you have youth and your passion on your side. I know you will do well. Just remember us little folks when you're walking the red carpet, 'k?
