So, many years ago there was a very famous boy band from Puerto Rico called Menudo. They were pretty popular, all over the world actually. That band was Ricky Martin’s first shot to fame and well, you know the rest of the story.
Why am I writing about this band you may ask. Well I was a big fan, not mainly because of their music even though I liked it. But because I wanted to be part of it, I would daydream about being a part of the group, traveling, meeting bunches of people in a lot of countries, living that life.
I believe that’s when my interest in show business started. That may be the reason I want to work in show business, not necessarily as a performer, even though I have the looks for it. Ha! I am very interested in entertainment, I want to use my creativity to assist others in putting theirs to good use. Right now I do that to some extent and I’m doing my Masters on Entertainment Business which hopefully will expand my opportunities on the field. But seriously, that’s what I would like to do. Some day I want to finish writing some scripts and ideas that have been stirring inside my brain for years. Some day, all of it will make sense. Let’s see what happens.

This is too funny. I have two vivid Menudo memories of my own:
1) On Saturday mornings here in the US there would be short little programs on between the usual cartoons. For a year or two, some of those shorts featured Menudo. They were basically Menudo music videos. The only one I remember was called “Shopping Mall.” That is the only one I remember, and is actually the only Menudo song I remember.
2) A girl I knew in high school was TOTALLY in love with Menudo. Not a drop of Latin in her (she is Irish), but she loved those boys. Anyway, she wore a bunch of Menudo buttons on her buttons on her jacket. One of those buttone, I kid you not, was at least six inches in diameter. It was a Monster Menudo Button.
