This quote was by my friend Victoria while we were having a great conversation regarding this generation’s view on some crucial points in Christianity, especially God, sin and Love. I personally love it.
Absolutely true. Sin destroys us, therefore if he didn't deal with it justly (or to say it in a non-Christianese way…if he didn't treat sin as it deserves to be treated) then he wouldn't be loving us. The fact of the matter is that God created ONE way to escape from sin. There is no other, regardless of what you believe. If you choose not to make use of His escape method, sin will eat you alive in eternal death. Either way, you get what you choose. God is so KIND that he will allow us to choose our eternal destiny…even if it's hating Him forever in eternal torment. He's committed to our freedom of choice.
Hmm…not sure why I went off on that tangent about free will…maybe someone needed to hear it. Anyway, sounds like you have a very wise friend. Now is she single? Haha! Kidding.
