Well, this is been a musical season in my life. All of a sudden some of my favorite acts are coming to Dallas and I got tickets!
On July I was able to go to the American Idol tour with my friend Tyler. It was awesome, especially Adam Lambert. The man can perform.
On September 14 we will be going to see Jason Mraz in Concert with G-Love and Bushwalla. My second time seeing him live, I was very impressed, he has a great voice, it was very, very nice.
On October 7, Tyler, Ben and me will be going to see Kings of Leon live. That main singer has such an awesome voice. Gotta admit I ‘secretly’ have a crush on him, well maybe it’s just with his voice. Just listen to him…
Now, for November 12 we just got tickets to see Regina Spektor. I’ve been a fan of hers for a couple of years now, her voice is so awesome. I blogged about her once… Read it here and listen to a great song.
I also saw that in November, The Swell Season will be coming to Dallas. You may not know them but they are the couple from the movie Once. Such a great movie.
That’s it, at least for now… Hopefully there will be more.

Rand, Hikel here. sounds like some good times. there are a bunch of shows coming to Minneapolis this fall too. i think kings of leon is here this weekend and that Jason Mraz show already was. mute math, david crowder, skillet and a bunch of others are going to be up here to. the only one i think i am going to is needtobreathe. they are great. it is kinda creepy how much their lead singer sounds like the guy from kings of leon. their music is a bit different though. i actually just got kings of leon’s newest album from my sister in law and was listening to it for the first time today. not bad stuff. there has been so much new music coming out lately it is hard to keep up with. Relevant magazine always has stuff to check out but i admit i don’t always get into the ‘indie’ stuff too much. anyway….
I’ve been hearing about needtobreathe lately, gonna have to listen to them! I’m really not into indy too much, apparently I get hooked when they start becoming mainstream haha.
